Flood Warning Issued by the National Weather Service

A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service.

The City of Angels Camp has free sandbags available 24/7 at the Angels Camp Police Department.

You will need to fill the bags yourself. Bags, sand, and
a shovel are available for use.

* Until 800 PM PST Wednesday.

* At 759 AM PST, Caltrans reported multiple locations with road
flooding in the Central Valley. So far, a half an inch to 3
inches of rain have fallen across the area. Moderate to heavy rain
is expected to continue through the rest of the day into the
evening. Snow in the foothills will melt, adding to the runoff.
Higher elevation snowpack should be able to absorb much of the
rain.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sacramento, Marysville, Stockton, Modesto, Elk Grove, Roseville,
Fairfield, Vacaville, Chico, Grass Valley, Jackson, Citrus
Heights, Tracy, Folsom, Turlock, Davis, Rocklin, Woodland, Ceres,
Galt and Oakdale.

Instructions: Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
