Red Flag Warning until 07:00PM Wednesday
Strong and gusty west to southwest winds will develop Wednesday. Humidity should fall below 15 percent as high temperatures climb 10 to 15 degrees above normal. Meanwhile, high Haines values are likely during the morning and early afternoon. Winds will remain breezy through Wednesday night; however, humidity is expected to climb above 20 percent during this time. The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from 10 AM to 7 PM MST Wednesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast highlands below snowpack into the northeast and east central plains. The stronger winds and most critical fire weather conditions should occur around mid- afternoon.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. The strongest winds are forecast along the eastern slopes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and near the Interstate 25 corridor.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...7 to 14 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST CENTRAL PLAINS ... NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS ... NORTHEAST PLAINS
