Wintry Weather Expected to Impact Next Two Morning Commutes

Two wintry events in quick succession are expected starting tonight into Tuesday morning. Both wintry events may create difficult morning commutes on Monday and Tuesday mornings.  Here is the latest weather forecast -

SUNDAY NIGHT - MONDAY
We're on target for a period of snow to arrive later this evening. With snow occurring during the night-time and temperatures in the upper 20s, we shouldn't see too much difficulty accumulating on untreated pavements, though it's light. Predicted amounts are in the 0.5 - 1.5" range. This should taper off and mostly end tomorrow morning, not long after daybreak. However, there's still a bit of light precipitation that lingers. Even in the unlikely chance that we get into that, it's light enough and warm enough, where we don't think there's additional accumulation.

MONDAY NIGHT - TUESDAY
A second storm comes Monday Night and this one is more complicated. First, start time is tough because dry air might have it start/stop before becoming more legit and steadier during the pre-dawn. Not only can we see accumulating snow, but a period of accumulating sleet is a concern. Then when we go to rain, Tuesday morning and with temps near freezing, watch for icing before we slowly warm through the day.
