Class II Special Officer
Borough of Deal Police Department
The Deal Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Class II Special Officer. Applicants are required to be a U.S. Citizen, 18 years of age or older, hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and be a resident of New Jersey during the appointment term. Applicants must have a good reputation and be of sound moral character, possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License, and undergo a complete background investigation. Those selected for hiring will also need to pass a drug screening and psychological evaluation. Applicants shall already be certified SLEO II officers upon submission of the application.
Interested applicants must submit an application, current resume, and the appropriate SLEO II certifications to Detective Daniel Liptak no later than February 20th, 2019 at 12:00 hours. Applications must be picked up in person at Deal Police Headquarters; 190 Norwood Avenue, Deal, NJ 07723.
