On 02/06/19, information was received regarding a stolen 2019 Audi A3 being driven in the area of Mission Blvd. and Elm Street in the city of Pomona. Officers responded to the area and located the stolen vehicle. The driver, Josue Carbajal of Pomona, parked the stolen vehicle in a business parking lot at 1560 E Mission Blvd. It was at this time a Pomona Police Officer attempted a traffic stop.  The driver placed the stolen vehicle in reverse and rammed the Police Officer’s patrol vehicle multiple times as well as the wall to the front of the parking stall. The driver’s vehicle also collided with the vehicles parked in the adjacent parking stalls. While the driver was maneuvering the stolen vehicle, he held his female passenger in the vehicle against her will and would not allow her to exit. The wall eventually caved and the driver was able to drive through and flee on foot. Officers quickly apprehended the suspect before he could escape.
