Traffic stop leads to arrest of Evansville woman for driving on an expired license and an outstanding warrant.

On February 5, 2019, at 5:21 a.m. Sheriff Tim Bottoms conducted a traffic stop on White 1999 Ford Escape for speeding on State Road 168 near County Road 500 West. Upon approaching the vehicle Sheriff Bottoms identified the driver as 35 year old Lori Jackson of Evansville. During a roadside investigation Sheriff Bottoms ran Ms. Jackson through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Ms. Jackson was operating a vehicle with a suspended license from a previous conviction. Further Sheriff Bottoms learned that Ms. Jackson had an outstanding warrant through Gibson County for Driving While Suspended – Prior. At that point Sheriff Bottoms placed Ms. Jackson into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Jackson was charged with a new charge of Driving While Suspended-Prior and the outstanding warrant. She remains in custody on a $1300 bond.
