On January 30, 2019, North Carolina Department of Public Safety Probation/Parole Office with assistance of Rutherford County Sheriff Office Interdiction Team and Naroctics Unit conducted absconder searches. 

Richard Skates resident of 108 Newline Road Mooresboro, N.C. was arrested for Interfering with Electronic Monitoring Device.  Skates during his time of arrest, being found hiding in a closet, refused to be taken into custody and assaulted Probation Officer(s).  Skates received two other charges of Assualt on Probation Officer and resisting public officer.  Skates received a $40,000.00 secured bond.

Billy Joe Wilkins resident of 291 Old Church Street Forest City, N.C. was found inside a closet of the residence hiding from Officers.  Wilkins was charged with Interfering Electronic Monitoring Device, Felony Probation Violation and Failure to appear on shoplifting concealed goods.  Wilkins received $20,500.00 secured bond.

Jason Gettys resident of 184 Greene Road Forest City, N.C. was arrested for Probation Violation.  During the arrest of Gettys Officers discovered other illegal items within the residence.  Rutherford County Narcotics Detectives applied and recieved a search warrant for the residence.  During the search of the residence approximately 11 grams methamphetamine, 3 grams marijuana, 13 morphine pills, 2 hydrocodone pills, 1 alprazolam, 7 oxycodone pills, 10 methadone pills and various forms of drug paraphernalia were found.  Another resident of 184 Greene Road, Ashley Powell is under investigation with Jason Gettys for all illegal contraband found.  Rutherford County Interdiction Team is leading this investigation and inticipate further charges.
