SUMMARY:

In August 2018, Rancho Cucamonga Police Detectives conducted a 9-day operation, targeting adult suspects who attempted to lure a minor children to meet in a public place to engage in sexual acts. Detectives used an unmonitored undercover law enforcement social media account for various investigations. The suspect initiated a conversation on the social media app and started chatting with who he believed to be a 14-year-old boy.

Detectives chatted back and forth with the suspect who sent nude pictures of himself to the decoy, and then later came to a meet location, where he thought he was meeting the minor boy to engage in sexual acts.

The suspect was arrested and formally charged by the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office on the above charges. The suspect was later released on bail and appeared multiple times in court. After being released on bail, the suspect was detained by Agents from Immigration Customs Enforcement, as he is a resident of the Country of Jordan and is here in the US on a Visa. The suspect was released from federal custody and placed on a GPS ankle bracelet to monitor his whereabouts, pending further court hearings.

On January 16, 2019, Detectives learned that the suspect was possibly planning to flee the state. The District Attorney’s Office appealed to the court and requested his bail be revoked, however, that request was denied pending a further hearing on January 25, 2019.

On or about January 19, 2019, the suspect stopped charging his GPS ankle bracelet and his whereabouts are unknown. The suspect failed to appear in court on January 25, 2019, and a No Bail Warrant was issued for his arrest.

Through investigation, it is believed that the suspect may be driving to the State of North Carolina. The suspect was last seen driving a tan colored Lexus RX with California License Plate # 4SUP458.

Detectives are releasing photos of the suspect and his vehicle.
