SNOW SQUALL WARNING AND HIGH WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT

A cold front will move across the Saddle Brook area and throughout the state this afternoon, bringing snow squalls and cold temperatures. Wind speeds will increase today and temperatures will drop behind the front, creating dangerously low wind chill temperatures. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect statewide from tonight through Thursday morning. A Wind Advisory is in effect statewide from tonight through early Thursday.

Scattered snow squalls may occur as the cold front passes this afternoon, impacting visibility on roadways. High winds can hamper driving, especially for high-profile vehicles. Wind chill values will drop to between -10 and -24 tonight through Thursday morning. People and animals outdoors are at risk of frostbite and hypothermia, which can occur quickly in sub-zero wind chill conditions.
