LOCATION: 900 block of Pavilion Dr., Pomona
CRIME: 422 PC- Criminal Threats
SUSPECT: Gonzales, Hunter, 24 years old, Pomona Resident
NARRATIVE:
On 1/29/2019 at about 1946 hours, Pomona Police Dispatch received a call in the 900 block of Pavilion Dr regarding a family disturbance.
During the investigation, officers learned the suspect made threats against his parents and was last seen inside the garage of their residence. Officers responded to the area and attempted to make contact with him. The suspect refused to talk to police and come out of the garage.
As the investigation continued, officers learned the suspect may be armed with a handgun. Due to the nature of the crime and potential for weapons, the Pomona Police Department SWAT Team was called in.
After approximately 1 hour, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
