Warming Centers to be opened if power is out due to cold temperatures.
Beginning Tuesday, January 29 to Thursday, January 31, the City of East Liverpool in conjunction with the East Liverpool City School District and The Community Resource Center have devised a plan to open facilities as warming centers in the event of a power outage due to the cold temperatures.
The Warming Centers will only be utilized if there is a power outage.

Purpose
The City's purpose for offering the Warming Center is to provide temporary shelter in an effort to prevent injury to persons who may be exposed to the elements.
Warming Center Guidelines
Individuals using the Warming Center must comply with all rules and policies and adhere to the following guidelines:
- Please bring your own reading material and any other personal items you require. Amplified sound devices are prohibited.
- Please supply your own water and snacks.
- Please note that there are no medical services provided at either of these facilities. If medical attention is needed please go to East Liverpool City Hospital for treatment
Notification Process
When the City of East Liverpool Warming Centers open, an announcement will be sent out via the NIXLE alerting system and also via the City’s social media page. Every effort will be made to also announce Warming Center operations via local radio and television stations.
