Four suspects are arrested during a residential burglary investigation

INCIDENT: Residential Burglary & Possession of Stolen Property
LOCATION: 100 Block Mc Shan Lane. Needles
500 Block N L Street. Needles
SUSPECTS: Harley David Cadez, age 41 of Needles
James Dean Hicks, age 43 of Needles
Travis Allen Melon, age 47 of Needles
Christina Rose McNeal, age 36 of Needles

SUMMARY: On Sunday, January 27, 2019, at 12:31 pm, deputies responded to the 100 block of McShans Lane in the city of Needles, reference a trespass. While on scene, it was determined the suspects forced entry into the residence and stole various items. Deputies were able to obtain evidence that led to several investigative leads. At approximately 3:10 pm, deputies located one of the involved suspects, Cadez, on the 100 block of N. K. Street. While conducting interviews, deputies learned of two additional suspects that were involved in the burglary. At 7:49 pm, deputies contacted one of the suspects, Hicks, on the 1500 block of Front Street. During this contact, deputies located the stolen property from the residence on McShans Lane. While at the residence, deputies made contact with a female, McNeal, who was found to be in possession of stolen property from a separate residential burglary that occurred on the 500 block of N L Street, in the city of Needles. At 9:49 pm, deputies located and conducted a traffic stop on the third suspect, Melon, on Balboa Street at Flora Vista. Melon was taken into custody without incident.
Cadez was arrested for trespassing and vandalism and cite released. Hicks and Melon were arrested for residential burglary and possession of stolen property. Both were transported to the Colorado River Station for booking. Melon is currently being held on $50,000 bond, pending a court hearing. Hicks, who is on Post Release Community Supervision, was booked and is being held on a no bail probation violation, pending a court hearing. McNeal was arrested for possession of stolen property and cite released.
