WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 8 PM EST TUESDAY Snow expected 2 to 4 inches

Mild today, winter returns in force Tuesday through Thursday

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE OHIO VALLEY AND CENTRAL APPALACHIANS... After a cold start, temperatures today will rebound nicely as southerly winds bring in milder air. The warmer weather will not last for long, as a very strong cold front pushes through late tonight into Tuesday Morning. A burst of snow is expected behind the front Tuesday morning with gusty winds and plummeting temperatures as a bitterly cold arctic airmass arrives. The arctic air will remain over the area Wednesday through Thursday with light snow or flurries possible and bitterly cold wind chills. Low temperatures Thursday morning will fall below zero for much of the area. Temperatures will return to average by Saturday and even above average by Sunday. The threat for precipitation will increase by the end of the weekend as well.
Wind chill could reach -24. Remember to check on your family, the elderly, and to bring your pets inside.
