High Wind Warning until 12:00PM Monday

The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a High Wind Warning, which is in effect until noon CST Monday. The Wind Advisory is no longer in effect.

* TIMING...Strong winds will push east between midnight and 6 am tonight, and persist through midday Monday.

* WINDS...Northwest winds will gust to around 60 mph.

* IMPACTS...With light snow or flurries possible as winds increase, patchy blowing and drifting snow is possible. Strong winds will lead to potentially hazardous crosswinds for high profile and lightweight vehicles. Winds will also blow around loose objects.

* AFFECTED AREAS: TURNER ... LINCOLN ... MINNEHAHA ... PLYMOUTH ... MCCOOK ... SIOUX

Instructions:

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
