Incident: Center Moriches Man Arrested for Multiple Burglaries

Suffolk County Police arrested a Center Moriches man for committing multiple residential burglaries and possessing stolen property.
Aubrey Hill entered a residence on Wading River Road in Center Moriches and stole a backpack and a tablet on January 26 at approximately 11:10 a.m. Following an investigation, Hill was arrested in front of his residence, located at 327 Railroad Ave., at 12:30 p.m.
Further investigation by Seventh Squad detectives determined Hill burglarized a residence on Clinton Street in Center Moriches between January 25 and January 26 and a residence on Neville Street in Center Moriches on January 14. Hill also pawned items stolen from residences on Chichester Avenue in Center Moriches on January 14 and Railroad Avenue in Manorville on December 17.
Hill, 51, was charged with three counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree. He is scheduled for arraignment today at First District Court in Central Islip.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
