Update #1: Shooting Investigation: 3700 block N. Van Buren Street

On Saturday, January 26, 2019, at approximately 7:29 pm, Wilmington Police responded to the 600 block of W. 37th Street reference a shooting.

Upon arrival, they located a 19-year old male suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was treated on scene and was transported to a hospital where he is currently in critical condition.

Minutes later, police were summoned for a second victim, who was located in the 600 block of Lea Blvd.  Upon arrival, they located a 17-year old male suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was treated on scene and was transported to the hospital where he was treated, then released.

Soon thereafter, police were summoned to the 2500 block of West Street for a third victim.

Upon arrival, they located a 17-year old male suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was treated on scene and was transported to the hospital where he was treated, then released.

The location of the incident was determined to be located in the 3700 block of N. Van Buren Street.

This is an on-going investigation.
