Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult that occurred on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the city of Carson.
At approximately 12:00 P.M., deputies from Carson Sheriff’s Station responded to the 21700 residential block of Dolores Street regarding a “gunshots fired, gunshot victim” call for service.
Upon arriving, the deputies located a male adult suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later and pronounced dead.
A second male adult who had been walking along the sidewalk with the victim was not struck by the gunfire.
There is no suspect description at this time, however a dark colored, four-door sedan was seen fleeing the scene of the shooting.
The murder weapon has not been recovered.
This apparent drive by shooting appears to be gang related.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
