Synopsis: A 69 year old male was walking W/B across 6900 Linda Vista Rd. The male was crossing the street, mid-block, outside of a marked crosswalk. An unknown person was driving a silver colored, 2016 Ford F-150 pick-up truck S/B in the S-2 lane of 6900 Linda Vista Rd. The passenger's side mirror of the truck struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained a fractured left arm and head injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the pick-up initially pulled into the parking lot of the CVS store at 6900 Linda Vista Rd. and then fled in an unknown direction. The passenger side mirror was left at the scene. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries. SDPD Traffic Division officers and detectives responded to the scene and are conducting the investigation.
