Advisory

Travel Watch (Orange) issued for Decatur County. Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4:00 am Sunday.

Travel Watch  (ORANGE)
Means that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. During a "watch" local travel advisory, only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended, and emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for much of central Indiana into tonight, with a Winter Weather Advisory for west central Indiana. Any mixed precipitation will change to snow across the area. Snow and/or blowing snow will be an issue tonight as winds increase and much colder air moves into the area. Winds will gust to around 40 MPH. The cold air will also cause a flash freeze of any remaining moisture on roads and surfaces. Travel difficulties are expected tonight, and power outages will be possible in the areas that saw the most icing. Wind chills from late tonight into early next week may be well below zero at times.
