Winter Weather Advisory until 03:00AM Sunday

A strong cold front will push across the Mid-South this afternoon. Temperatures will drop abruptly and rain will switch over to snow by late afternoon. 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected, along with minor sleet accumulations across the advisory area through early Sunday morning. In addition, trace amounts of ice accumulation from freezing drizzle are possible this evening. Winter precipitation is expected to end within a couple hours after midnight.

* WHAT...Snow and Sleet expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Tree branches could fall as well. Total snow and some sleet accumulations of 1 to 3 inches...with locally higher amounts are expected. Trace amounts of freezing drizzle are possible.

* WHERE...Portions of West Tennessee, East Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM CST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
