Vehicle stuck on Railroad tracks leads officer to arrest Evansville man on DUI charge.

On January 18, 2019, at 12:44 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks at the intersection of Main and Maple Street in Haubstadt. Upon arriving Deputy Kiesel detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver 36 year old Christopher Sanders of Evansville. At that point Deputy Kiesel began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Kiesel transported Mr. Sanders to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Sanders was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He has since posted a $650 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
