Winter Storm Warning until 4am Sunday
The Oxford area is under a Winter Storm Warning until 4AM Sunday. Currently, we are only experiencing rain, however this afternoon temperatures are expected to drop and the precipitation will change over to snow. Strong winds are also expected and travel conditions will deteriorate quickly. Wind chills will fall to the single digits by Sunday morning.
We recommend you prepare for this weather and stay indoors if possible. If you park on the City streets, it would be helpful to move your car to off-street parking so that the Street Division can plow and treat roadways. If you live on a snow route, you will be subject to citation and towing if snow accumulates to above 3 inches (which it is forecasted to do) and/or a snow emergency is declared.
Please bring your pets inside as well. Do not call Police Headquarters for weather or road reports during inclement weather. For road reports, visit www.ohgo.com or call the Butler County Emergency Information Hotline at (513) 785-5800.
