Winter Weather Advisory until 03:00AM Sunday

A strong cold front will push across the Mid-South this afternoon. Temperatures will drop abruptly and rain will switch over to snow by late afternoon. 1 to 2 inches of snow is possible across the advisory area through early Sunday morning. In addition, minor ice accumulations are possible due to freezing drizzle. Winter precipitation is expected to end within a couple hours after midnight.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of up to 2 inches are expected. Minor ice accumulations are also possible.

* WHERE...Portions of West Tennessee, East Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel.

* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 3 AM CST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
