35-year-old Robert Sandle of Beaufort arrested for Trafficking Cocaine following Sheriff's Office investigation.
Following up on information received in late-2018 that 35-year-old Robert Sandle was selling illegal drugs from a residence in Polk Village, Sheriff's Office investigators were able to obtain warrants for his arrest for two counts of Sale and Distribution of Crack Cocaine. Investigators also obtained a warrant to search the Fourth Street—Polk Village—Beaufort residence from which Sandle was selling the illegal drugs.
Today, Sheriff's Office investigators conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by Robert Sandle and arrested him for the two active arrest warrants. Recovered from the vehicle operated by Sandle was a handgun. Shortly after arresting Sandle, investigators served the search warrant on the Fourth Street residence. Present at the residence when investigators served the search warrant was the homeowner/Sandle's mother, 63-year-old Rosa Manick.
Inside of Rosa Manick's Fourth Street residence, investigators recovered a trafficking weight of powder cocaine, as well as possession amounts of crack cocaine and marijuana. Also inside of the residence, investigators recovered a handgun and some unidentified pills that are suspected to be controlled substances. The pills will be analyzed at the Sheriff's Office Forensic Services Laboratory for identification.
Following the search warrant, and in addition to the two Sale and Distribution of Crack Cocaine charges, Robert Sandle was charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Crack Cocaine and Simple Possession of Marijuana. Rosa Manick was arrested and charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine and Simple Possession of Marijuana.
Robert Sandle and Rosa Manick were transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center and incarcerated this afternoon. They have yet to receive bond hearings on their charges. Depending on the results of the investigation into the the handguns recovered from Sandle's vehicle and Manick's residence and the analysis performed on the unidentified pills, they could face additional criminal charges.
