Flood Warning until 08:15AM

The National Weather Service in The San Francisco Bay Area has extended the

* Flood Warning for Urban Areas and Small Streams in... Southeastern Sonoma County in northern California...

* Until 815 AM PST.

* At 503 AM PST, While widespread, heavy rainfall has ended over the region, automated rain gauges continue to indicate flooding on area streams, creeks as well as on the Petaluma River. Water levels are forecast to remain elevated through the morning before gradually receding through the day.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Cotati, South Santa Rosa Cdp, Forestville and Graton.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SONOMA, CA

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
