UPDATE- Man Wanted in Connection with Assault on Lenox Avenue

UPDATE:

Arie Patterson (attached photo) is wanted in connection with an assault that occurred on Friday, January 5th in the area of Lenox Avenue and Greenway. Anyone with info is asked asked to call detectives at 518-462-8039 or submit tips to Capital Region Crime Stoppers at www.capitalregioncrimestoppers.com.

The Albany police are currently investigating an assault that occurred yesterday morning in the area of Lenox Avenue and Greenway.

On Friday, January 5, 2018 at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a home on the 200 block of Lenox Avenue for a report of an assault. Upon their arrival, the woman who lives there told officers that while out for a walk with her husband, an unknown man approached them from behind and struck her in the head with a blunt object.

She sustained a laceration to her head and was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital for treatment. Her husband was not injured during the incident.

The man who struck the woman is described as a black male, dark skin and approximately 5'11" tall. He was last seen wearing a dark colored coat.

At this time detectives have followed up on several leads pertaining to this incident and are making progress in the investigation. The Albany Police Department is confident that there will be an arrest soon.
