The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for the Bay Area and Central Coast of
California.
* From Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday night
* A strong cold front will bring heavy rain Wednesday afternoon
through early Thursday morning. Urban and small stream flooding
will become likely along with rapid rises on main stem rivers.
Small creeks and streams may rapidly rise near or above
bankfull.
* Take action now to protect property by sand bagging flood prone
locations.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
• Heavy rain may cause mud and rock slides onto roads and areas of urban flooding
• Strong winds may cause travel impacts and areas of downed trees, power outages and property damage
