The vehicle involved was stolen and fled from both agencies. A CHP helicopter and ACSO UAV were deployed to assist in the search for the subject. Newark PD also arrived to provide support.  Officer Macciola and K9 Bolt were tasked to begin a track originating from an article of clothing. Officers located a newer Range Rover in the parking lot that belonged to the two and evidence was recovered from within that suggest that the vehicle was purchased fraudulently.   They were booked into Santa Rita on a number of charges including possession of identification for more than 10 people, filing a false crime report, forgery, using an ID with the intent to defraud, providing false ID to police, obstructing/resisting, possession of a controlled substance, etc.
