Deputies arrest Nortashia Weathersby for the attempted murder of her mother, threatening her with a knife

SUMMARY:
On January 11, 2019, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to a residence in the 15400 block of Nisqualli for a disturbance.
When deputies arrived, they learned 23-year old Nortashia Weathersby had entered her mother’s bedroom and took her wallet. The victim attempted to get her wallet back, and Weathersby began attacking her. The victim was able to lock herself in the bedroom. Weathersby retrieved a knife and attempted to get through the door while threatening to harm her mother.
Weathersby was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for attempted murder and threatening crime with intent to terrorize. She is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on January 15, 2019.
