Full Notification

On January 11, 2019 at approximately 1906 hours, PSPD dispatch received a 911 call regarding a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of N. Indian Canyon and 19th Ave.  PSPD officers arrived on scene and found a male down in the street unresponsive.  PSFD firefighters arrived on scene and pronounced the male deceased.  Through the preliminary investigation, officers learned that a silver Ford SUV traveling southbound on N. Indian Canyon struck a pedestrian who was walking in the street.  The driver of the SUV remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.  Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.  N. Indian Canyon is closed to both northbound and southbound traffic between 19th Ave. and 18th Ave. until further notice as traffic investigators conduct the investigation.
