Any person may speak for three (3) minutes on any agenda item; however, total public input per item is not to exceed 15 minutes, unless extended at the discretion of the Council. This rule does not apply to public hearings.
Those who wish to speak on any subject of concern, provided that it is within the jurisdiction of the Disaster Council and is not already on today’s agenda, are asked to complete a public comment slip prior to the start of the meeting (available in the Board of Supervisors Office).
Emergency Situation Reports require submission of written request and a copy of the briefing to the Office of Emergency Services, Attn: Emergency Services Manager at least one week prior to each Disaster Council Meeting. Situation Reports will be considered based upon relevancy to the mission of the Disaster Council, and will be added as an item on the agenda.
A request for a disability-related modification or accommodation necessary to participate in the Disaster Council meeting should be made in writing to the Office of Emergency Services at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
