DETAILS:
On January 9, 2019, at approximately 10:10 PM, Officers of the Amarillo Police Department were dispatched to the 6700 block of Bengal on a report that several people had been shot. Officers arrived to find three victims inside a residence. One victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other two people were deceased inside the home. Special Crimes was called to investigate this incident and determined that Travis Eldridge, age 21, shot and killed Donald Eldridge, age 66. Travis also shot the victim who was later transported to the local hospital. Then Travis shot and killed himself inside the home. Justice of the Peace Gary Jackson was called to the scene. Special Crimes continues its investigation into this aggravated assault/murder/suicide.
