WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON FRIDAY TO MIDNIGHT CST SATURDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8
inches with locally higher amounts. Some sleet could be mixed in
over central and southeast Missouri on Friday afternoon and
evening.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east-central, northeast and
southeast Missouri.
* WHEN...From noon Friday to midnight CST Saturday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The
hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
Instructions:
A Winter Storm Warning for snow and sleet means that heavy
snowfall of 6 inches or more is expected. The rapid accumulation
of snow will make travel extremely difficult, if not impossible.
If travel is necessary, make sure to exercise extreme caution.
Begin your travel with a full tank of gas, and carry a winter
storm kit which includes a shovel, flashlight, cellphone, food
and water, and blankets of extra warm clothing.
