DETAILS:  At 9:33 pm on 1/7/2019, WWPD Patrol Units and WW Dept. of Fire & Emergency Services, and Stations #43 & 44, responded to US Route 1 North near The Square at West Windsor (prior to the Meadow Road Overpass) for a reported Serious Motor Vehicle Collision where the preliminary investigation determined the following: 
 
      Two vehicles, a silver 2017 Hyundai Elantra driven by Zain Ahmed, a 29 year old male from North Brunswick, NJ and a gray 2008 Infiniti G35, driven by Adam L. Goldenberg, 32 year old male from Plainsboro, NJ were both traveling northbound on US Route 1 North while approaching the area of The Square at West Windsor. 
 
      The Infiniti struck the concrete traffic divider/barrier.  The Inifiniti then came into the center lane and hit the back corner of the Hyundai.  The Hyundai was pushed into a slide ending up nose first into the concrete trafficdivider/barrier.  The Inifiniti went off the roadway to the right.  The Infiniti struck a PSE&G utility pole (breaking it) and it became airborne as well as tilted.  The Infiniti struck a tree roof first due to being airborne and tilted.  The Driver of the Infiniti, Adam L. Goldenberg, was pronounced dead at the scene.  No other injuries were reported to Zain Ahmed or his 25 year old female passenger (Ahmed's wife).    
 
       U.S. Route 1 North was closed for just over three hours to conduct the on scene investigation while utility pole repair went on throughout the night by PSE&G. 

     *UPDATE*:  It has been determined that Weather Conditions and/or Road Conditions were NOT factors in this incident.  The Investigation is still continuing at this time.  Ptl. LaTorre of the WWPD Traffic Bureau was the Lead Investigator for the collision and the investigation is continuing.  If there are any witnesses to the crash, Ptl.
