Substantial Battery / Traffic Accident
On 1/8/19 at approximately 9:30 PM, officers from the Janesville Police Department and Janesville Fire Department were dispatched to a traffic accident with injury at Afton Road and Falling Creek Circle. A vehicle had failed to yield while making a left-hand turn. A 26 year old Beloit woman was found pinned in her vehicle complaining of leg injuries. She was later transported to Beloit Hospital by Janesville Paramedics. Several occupants exited the suspect vehicle and got into another vehicle which left the scene. Officers located the vehicle at County D and S. Indian Lake Dr. Four occupants of the suspect vehicle were transported to Mercy Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital by Janesville Paramedics and Town of Beloit Paramedics. The driver of the suspect vehicle was identified as a 16-year-old Juvenile.
Following the accident, Officers learned the suspect vehicle had left the Falling Creek Village where a disturbance had taken place. During the disturbance, a female was struck in the mouth with a hammer.
The following arrests were made:
16 year old Juvenile: Operating while suspended, Failure to Yield Right Away, Operating a motor vehicle without Insurance, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct
15 year old Juvenile: Battery & Disorderly Conduct
Samantha Guinter (28): Disorderly Conduct/Dometic Violence & Criminal Damage to Property Domestic Violence.
Sergio Maciel (27): OWI (1st), Disorderly Conduct, 5 Warrants
Tasha Sanger (35): Substantial Battery, Obstructing, Felony Bailjumping
Jamaious Shoulders (22): Parole Violation
