Synopsis: A 39 year old white female was standing along the south curb line of 7400 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. The female crossed the street N/B mid-block, outside of a crosswalk. She was struck by a silver colored, 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck. The truck was being driven W/B in the #1 lane of 7400 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. The driver of the truck was a 53 year old white male. The collision occurred in the W-1 lane of the street. The female pedestrian received serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital by paramedics. The female sustained a lacerated kidney, multiple rib fractures and a large hematoma to her head. SDPD Traffic Division officers responded to the scene and are conducting the investigation. Alcohol and drugs are not considered to be a factor in this collision.
