Synopsis: A 43 year old female was driving her 2016 silver Honda eastbound on Clairemont Mesa Blvd, approaching the intersection of Pocahontas Ave. She was in the number two lane. She observed the vehicle directly in front of her veer sharply to the left, into the number one lane. Following this movement she noted a 58 year old female standing in the street. She attempted avoidance action but struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained a fractured pelvis, fractured right humerus, and a head injury. No DUI. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.

Synopsis: A 27 year old male suspect got into a fight with a 20 year old female inside of a residence. A 53 year old male victim inside the residence tried to break up the fight. The suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim in the head by the ear. Then he punched the victim several times and strangled him with both hands. The victim did not lose consciousness. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving. While officers were on scene the suspect returned and was arrested. The victim was transported to the hospital for non life threatening injuries. San Diego Police Northern Detectives are investigating.
