COMMUNITY MEMBERS HELP WILMINGTON POLICE NAB FLEEING VEHICLE INVOLVED IN A GUN BATTLE WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE
On Sunday, December 30, at approximately 1:37 am, Wilmington Police responded to the 500 block of W. 11th Street in reference to a ‘shots fired’ complaint.
As officers were arriving to the scene they were advised by members of the community that two vehicles were pursuing each other and appeared to be involved in a gun battle with each other.
Police observed a vehicle, matching the provided description, travelling at a high rate of speed and police conducted a felony car stop in the 700 block of N. Tatnall Street, which was occupied by four males.
Through investigative means, police conclude that all four occupants were involved in this incident.
The four occupants are identified and charged with the following offenses:
1. Nyhe Toston, 18-years old, from the 500 block of W. 38th Street, Wilmington, charged with:
- Possession of Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony;
- Possession of a Firearm Within 10 Years of Prior;
- Possession of a Firearm by Person Prohibited;
- Reckless Endangering First Degree;
- Conspiracy Second Degree.
- Reckless Endangering First Degree;
- Conspiracy Second Degree.
- Reckless Endangering First Degree;
- Conspiracy Second Degree.
- Reckless Endangering First Degree;
- Conspiracy Second Degree.
