**Updated with a New Surveillance Photo, 12/29/2018 **

On December 20, 2018 the Whitehall Police Department initiated an investigation following receiving reports of larcenies from motor vehicles that occurred overnight at residential locations within the village.

Reports include vehicles being rummaged through and items missing from unsecured vehicles at locations off of Poultney Street (including but not limited to, Mountain and Elizabeth Streets).

We are continuing to investigate a number of leads and processing still photos and video footage of the subjects that have been provided to this point in the investigation. We are releasing a surveillance photo (attached) from a local store that depicts the subjects involved in a transaction just after midnight on December 20, 2018.

If you recognize either one of the subjects in the photo or observed anything suspicious in the late evening hours (after 10PM) of December 19th / early morning hours of December 20th, please let us know!
