Wind Advisory for Vermilion County till 6 PM
WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.
* TIMING...The strongest winds are expected between 2 pm and 6 pm.
* WINDS...Gusts in excess of 50 mph are expected at times, before
subsiding to around 35 mph.
* IMPACTS...High profile vehicles will have significant
difficulty traveling. Several power outages have occurred due
to the strong winds. Loose objects will be blown about. Minor
damage to tree limbs is likely.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
