The wanted party from this incident has been identified as Hunter Hanson. Hanson is a 20 year old male white. Hanson has active warrants for his arrest. If anyone knows of Hanson’s whereabouts or sees him please call the Racine Police Department. Do not approach. Hanson is considered armed and dangerous. Racine Police are also seeking the vehicle Hanson was driving. The vehicle is a 1998 green/blue Chevy K 1500 pickup truck. A picture of Hanson is below.



On December 20, at 8:23pm, Racine Police were investigating a known wanted party. An officer located the party in the 1600 block of Boyd Ave. As the responding officer exited his squad car the wanted party entered his vehicle and accelerated towards the officer. The officer discharged his firearm at the vehicle which then fled the scene. Neither the vehicle nor the wanted party has been located as of this time. The officer involved is a 5 year veteran of the police department. The officer was not injured and will be on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The investigation is ongoing. No other information is being released at this time.
