Detective Van Williams of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged William Zachary Willis, 31, address listed as Bethamy Drive in Marion, with possession of a firearm by a felon.
                Williams also charged Amanda Sue Murphy, 39, address listed as Bethamy Drive, with possession of marijuana.
                On Saturday, Nov. 11, Williams assisted state probation officers with a search at the couple’s home. Murphy is on probation and subject to warrantless searches.
                Authorities located a gun in Willis’s possession and a small amount of marijuana belonging to Murphy.
