On 12-27-18 at 2:36 a.m. Janesville Police Department officers responded to 1530 Mole for a report of a male who had a knife sticking out of his head.

Upon arrival to 1530 Mole Ave. officers made contact with Maria Johnson. Maria directed officers to the kitchen where a male was found leaning over the sink with a knife stuck in his face. The handle was the only part of the steak knife that was visible, next to the subject’s nose. Both Maria and the victim said Maria caused the knife to be stuck in the victim’s face, but both said it was an accident.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where the knife was removed. The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury.

After investigation, Maria Johnson was arrested for 2nd degree Reckless Injury with a Domestic Violence enhancer. Maria was held at the Rock County Jail pending her initial court appearance.
