Dense Fog Advisory until 11:00AM
The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 11 AM PST this morning for the south end of the San Joaquin Valley and valley facing slopes of the Kern county mountains and the east side of the San Joaquin Valley and adjacent foothills.
* VISIBILITIES...1/4 mile or less with local visibilities as low as 500 feet.
* IMPACTS...Possible travel delays. Areas of extremely poor visibility with hazardous driving conditions.
* AFFECTED AREAS: KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS ... SOUTHWESTERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY ... SOUTHEASTERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY ... MARIPOSA, MADERA, AND FRESNO COUNTY FOOTHILLS ... EAST-CENTRAL SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY ... TULARE COUNTY FOOTHILLS
Instructions:
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you. Allow extra time to reach your destination. When the fog is dense, drive with common sense!
