Additional rainfall will likely cause the river to crest just below flood stage. The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* until Friday morning.

* At 09 PM Thursday the stage was 8.1 feet.

* Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.

* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

* Forecast...the river will rise to near 9.9 feet by early Friday afternoon. IMPACTS: At 9.0 feet...Action Stage. South Fork Catawba River floodwaters begin to enter Riverside Park in Cramerton..
