WARNING - PG&E Scam 
People in Moraga are getting calls telling them that their bill is overdue and having them call a number (800-478-2895 - this is a scam number). When you call, you hear a very realistic recording and the call is finally answered by a person who gets your address and then tells you about your overdue bill. The person tells you to go to a business, buy a MoneyPak card for the amount owed, then call back with the card number. They will then input that number and take the money.
I called the number, gave them the Police Department address and he told me that I owed $498.76 for my overdue power bill at my residence. Suffice to say that our PG&E bill has already been paid in full and this is not a residence.
Do not fall for this scam. Call the Moraga Police at 925-888-7055 with any questions or concerns. If you think your PG&E bill is overdue, contact the utility with the numbers on your bill or the number listed for PG&E and discuss the matter with them.
