On November 8, 2018, the Bobby Wittington, the Tillman County Sheriff, requested the OSBI investigate allegations of child sexual abuse. Through investigation, it was learned that Christopher Martinez (DOB: 06/14/85) had sexual contact with a child under the age of twelve. During the investigation Kriston Lewis (DOB: 03/02/81) was contacted and told of the allegations. The Department of Human Services (DHS) had Martinez removed from the home and told Lewis, he was not to have contact with children. On December 19, 2018, the Tillman County Undersheriff and the OSBI Case Agent were searching for Martinez, and learned he was at the Grandfield Elementary School. Law enforcement observed Martinez and Lewis leave the school together. A traffic stop was made and Martinez was arrested for Child Sexual Abuse and Solicitation of a Minor and Lewis was arrested for Enabling Child Sexual Abuse. Martinez and Lewis was transported to the Tillman County Jail.
