Arrest Made in Jewelry Store Attempted Robbery

On Friday, December 14, 2018, two suspects entered Vana Watch and Jewelry at 1401 Mission Street. One suspect brandished a knife and demanded the watches in the jewelry case. The second suspect followed suit and brandished metal knuckles. After a store employee produced a firearm, the suspects ran from the store and fled the location in a green 2006 Chevy Malibu.

On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Compton Station deputies were able to locate the Malibu in their city. They conducted a traffic stop and subsequently detained the driver and sole occupant, who was later identified as 21 year old Omar Teriq Bradley, a resident of Compton. South Pasadena Police Detectives responded to Compton and took Bradley into custody. He was arrested for attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently in custody at the Alhambra City Jail.

Detectives are still searching for the outstanding suspect who brandished the knife during the incident. If you have any further information regarding this incident or the other suspect’s whereabouts, please contact South Pasadena Police Detectives at 626-403-7280.
