On December 18, 2018, at about 2:00 PM a traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Los Angeles Avenue and Socrates Avenue. The collision involved three vehicles, one of which struck a City of Simi Valley Crossing Guard, causing serious injury. The Crossing Guard, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.

This collision is being investigated by the Simi Valley Police Department’s Traffic Unit. Please avoid the area of Los Angeles Avenue and Socrates Avenue. This area has been closed to traffic.
