Full Notification

Update:

On 12/18/18, around 04:21 hours, Union City PD was notified of a major injury collision at the intersection of Whipple Road and Dyer Street.  The collision involved a passenger vehicle and a box-truck.  The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and ultimately did not survive the collision.  The identity of the driver is not being released to allow for next of kin notification.   

The driver of the other involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with our investigation into the cause of this collision.
